Edmonton real estate market has been strong in September, a slight improvement from August. The average price for a single detached homes was 371,947 and condos 245,546, both 1.4 higher than in August.

2,564 homes were listed resulting in a 66% sales-to-listing ratio as compared to September 2008 with over 3,100 listings and a 55% sold-to-list ratio. There was also a decrease of 6.6 percent in inventory from 6445 listings to 6032, great news for the sellers.

Residential sales this month were 1,704, 1.8 percent higher than last month and almost identical to September sales of 2008. >>> more
