Sales activity, however, was up dramatically when compared to last month or the same month last year. The average* single family dwelling price was $369,573 for February up just 1.4% from January; 5.6% from a year ago. Condominium prices dipped 3.8% in the month from $240,686 to $231,530. Flat line for Edmonton real estate market?
The average price for single detached home in January was 367,747, half a percent lower than in December of 2009, while condos were selling for 239,006, 2 percent lower than last month. Total sales were down by 6.8% to 884 properties sold through the MLS® SYSTEM while new listings have doubled. Inventory stood at 4,864 homes while average days-on-market have increased by 12% to 57 days.
