Boyle Street neighbourhood, which was originally downtown Edmonton, is situated between the LRT line which runs to the north east and Grierson Hill Road, Rowland Road, Alex Taylor Road and then Jasper Avenue east until 82 St to the south, and 97 and 82 street.
Boyle Street is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Edmonton and has some of the highest concentrations of old buildings. Part of Chinatown and the"Chinatown Gate" is located in Boyle Street.
Real Estate: Most of the neighbourhood’s redevelopment, around 40 percent, occurred in 1970 and then continued in 1980. Major part of Boyle Street are low-rise appartment buldings ( around 80%) with some high rises mostly found along Jasper Avenue and some single detached homes and townhomes. One of the newer projects constructed in 2006 was Jasper Properties, 22 storey high condo high rise on Jasper Avenue and 90 street. There are currently plans to build a couple more high rise condos overlooking the River Valley in close proximity to Jasper Avenue. Also, City of Edmonton is working on what is called "Downtown East Project" which aims at transforming a large part of the Boyle Street neighbourhood.

Transportation: Major bus routes on Jasper, LRT Stadium Station on the northern east side and Churchill Station on 99 street.
Amenities: Most of small business, stores, and restaurants are located along 97 street and Jasper Avenue.
