Windsor Park is a south central neighbourhood with boundaries that run between Saskatchewan Drive which runs from the west to the north side of the area, and 116 & 117 Street and to University Avenue on the south. This area was farmland till the early 1900’s when it became part of the City of Strathcona before it was annexed by the City of Edmonton.
Real Estate: Due to the high property values in this area, most of the homes are larger, up-scale, custom built 2 storeys and 4level splits, though there are some smaller older bungalows as well. Majority of the houses were built in 1940's and 1950's with some of the more expensive and newer homes are located on Saskatchewan Drive overlooking the river valley. Windson Park's properties are in high demand because of the close location to University, White Avenue, Downtown and River Valley
Amenities: Jubilee Auditorium, shops and eateries are walking distance in the university area. Walking distance to Hawrelak Park, River Valley and Emily Murphy Park. The University Hospital is walking distance as is Canadian Blood Services, Mayfair golf and Country Club to the west.
Schools: Windsor Park Elementary School, University of Alberta, nearby U of A south campus
Transportation: LRT and lots of buses are plentiful. Groat Road provides access to downtown, Telus World of Science, and the north side, while 114th Street provides access to Southgate and the many businesses and services in that area.
